Nissan Common Transmission Problems

A common problem we see in 2004-2006 Nissans, Maximas for example, is that when the vehicle’s hot and turning a corner or when slowing down you may notice a hard shift in the transmission. This can also occur at faster, highway speeds and the shifting pattern will be off, erratic, or unpredictable. These are common symptoms of valve body issues which controls the shifting patterns of these transmissions. Unfortunately these symptoms will not trigger a check engine light in the Nissans computer diagnostics and commonly surface when the vehicle has 80,000 to 100,000 miles. If you have similar transmission problems or symptoms, bring your car in and we’ll inspect it for you and let you know if you can save money with a valve body replacement instead of a complete transmission replacement.
